SPY is the most mentioned ticker on wallstreetbets (wsb) today. The SP500 ETF leads in a time of a broad market selloff caused initially by concerns of potential high inflation which were confirmed yesterday by the high US CPI reading.
Tesla (TSLA) is in second place after Elon Musk tweeted that the company will no longer be accepting BTC as a form of payment for vehicles due to environmental concerns. The crypto market dropped after the tweet and BTC was trading around 50k USD at the time of writing.
UVXY and VIXX find themselves in the new entries list, as increased volatility hit equity markets.
Alibaba (BABA) tops the biggest movers list, after it reported earnings. It posted it's first operating loss as a public company due to a big antitrust fine.
